What is couperose?
Couperose is a genetically determined dilation of facial blood vessels: cheeks and nose show extensive redness and fine visible veins. It usually appears from the age of 30, particularly affects fair, sensitive skin and slowly progresses without treatment.
Couperose or rosacea – what is the difference?
Couperose describes the visible dilated vessels; rosacea is an inflammatory skin condition that can additionally involve flare-ups, papules and burning. Couperose is often considered its early form – a medical assessment, as you receive from us, provides clarity.
Treating couperose: laser as the method of choice
In laser couperose removal the dilated vessels are precisely sealed and broken down by the body – the complexion becomes visibly calmer and more even. Depending on severity, 1–3 sessions are needed; we also advise on skin care and avoiding triggers.
