DERMAPEN 4 – fractional microneedling mesotherapy, is conquering the hearts of visitors in various aesthetic medicine practices and institutes. What is the secret of its popularity? Currently, it is one of the safest and most effective methods to improve the appearance of the skin anywhere on our body.
DERMAPEN microneedling mesotherapy treatment at LASER AESTHETICS uses the body’s natural ability to regenerate and produce collagen, delivering satisfying results in a short time. What is Dermapen? Is it painful? When is it worth choosing?
What is Dermapen?
Microneedling mesotherapy consists of performing mechanical skin punctures using a special head with microneedles. This treatment mainly stimulates and regenerates collagen and elastin fibres.
The equipment for the Dermapen procedure has several interchangeable, thin, pulsating needles that can puncture the skin many times in one second.
Needle punctures from 0.5 mm to 3.0 mm deep allow nutrients to penetrate the skin. The delivery of many active substances to the epidermis makes it possible to distinguish three phases of their mechanism of action in the process of skin regeneration and reconstruction of its structure.
The resulting micro-injuries to the skin use the body’s natural regenerative capacity in the first phase. The stimulated fibroblasts begin to rebuild collagen and elastin fibres. They also stimulate the build-up of new epidermal cells and the intercellular matrix.
The next stage is tissue proliferation.
The skin is rebuilt, which leads to the formation of new collagen that strengthens its structure.
The third stage is the reconstruction and treatment of damaged tissue. During the healing process, the skin is better supplied with blood and strengthened by the new collagen. As a result, it becomes denser, more elastic, supplied with blood and nourished.
The patented technology of pulsating needles significantly improves the skin permeability as well as the oxygen supply and microcirculation of the tissue. This allows the mixture of concentrated nutrients to reach the dermis during the treatment in LASER AESTHETICS practice, deeply nourishing and regenerating it.
Dermapen 4 at LASER ÄSTHETIK in Essen, Düsseldorf and Dortmund can also be performed on sensitive skin prone to irritation and allergies. This is because the microneedles used are made of titanium and have no chromium or nickel admixtures, which minimises the risk of an allergic reaction.

How is a some Derma-Pen different from DERMAPEN 4?
In order to achieve the best possible results of the procedure, micropuncture devices are still being developed, which would make it possible to increase the efficiency and precision of the procedure. Currently, the most advanced device for microneedling mesotherapy is Dermapen 4, which we work with in our practise LASER AESTHETICS. What makes it stand out?
Well, it uses up to 16 microneedles, which allow you to perform more punctures in less time. The comparisons show that Dermapen 4 can produce up to 1920 microneedles per second, which is more than 1 million per minute. This is 47.9% more than the Dermapen 3 and even 104% more than other devices of this type available on the market.
After treatment with the original Dermapen 4 device, the healing and regeneration time of the skin is shortened.
What does the face look like after the Dermapen microneedling treatment in LASER AESTHETICS?
Due to the formation of micro-injuries, the skin may be slightly irritated, swollen, tender and sensitive immediately after the treatment. This condition may last for several hours after the procedure up to a maximum of two days. In addition, the epidermis may peel off over the next few days.
Is Dermapen painful?
The thermal needle mesotherapy head is designed to minimise pain and discomfort. Immediately after the treatment, we may experience slight itching and burning of the skin. In addition, the pierced skin area may be painful and sensitive.
Nevertheless, the degree of pain and discomfort is largely subjective. Much also depends on whether we have sensitive skin or not. Basically, Dermapen is a painless procedure, but the individual sensation may be different for each patient due to the different pain threshold.
How long does the Dermapen treatment take?
The total treatment time is usually 20 to 45 minutes. The treatment can also be combined with other procedures available at the clinic, but requires prior consultation with the doctor performing the procedure. We recommend that you contact LASER AESTHETICS in Dortmund, Düsseldorf and Essen in this regard.
How often should I have Dermapen done?
For best results, it is worth undergoing a series of treatments – preferably from 3-4 to 6-8 sessions every 3-4 weeks. For people who want to shorten this time, we recommend having the procedure once a month for about 3-4 months. The number and frequency of recommended treatments will, of course, depend on the condition of your skin and the health problem you come to the practice with.
How long does the skin take to heal after Dermapen Microneedling treatment ?
Usually the skin is as good as healed the next day after the treatment. However, as mentioned above, after more intensive treatments, possible side effects such as redness or swelling can last up to a few days. A gentle peeling of the epidermis can usually be observed 2-3 days after the treatment. However, after 4-7 days the skin is completely healed.
What preparations should be used after Dermapen Microneedling treatment in LASER AESTHETICS?
We recommend that you use the original DP Dermaceuticals products:
Wash the skin about 8 hours after the procedure with a gentle cleansing preparation, for example micellar fluid or a wash for sensitive skin. Gentle skin care cosmetics must be used at least 3-4 days after the treatment.
Make-up should also be avoided so as not to clog open pores and prevent blackheads or other skin lesions. Due to the individual approach to each patient, we recommend that you talk to your doctor about this, as the recommendations may be slightly different for each patient.
We are happy to see you soon!
