How quickly can you actually laser a brand-new tattoo?

Every week at LASER ÄSTHETIK we hold  several consultations with clients whose tattoos are only a few days old (yes, you read that right). Their question to us:When can I start the treatments to remove this tattoo?!

Many of our clients call us on the very same day they had their tattoo done. Often because it did not  turn out the way they had imagined, or the way it was discussed.

The intention behind  almost every  tattoo is that it should always be under your  skin  – a permanent part of who you are. But the instant tattoo regret described above is actually widespread. Sometimes the tattoo was a spontaneous decision that the person regrets immediately, often made on holiday, and sometimes people simply do not like how a carefully planned tattoo turned out.

Unfortunately, we cannot treat a new tattoo with our laser technology immediately after it has been done – not before it has fully healed after the tattooing process, which usually takes 4 to 8 weeks. In the meantime it is very important that you  take very good care of your new tattoo so that your skin heals smoothly and without scars. This creates the ideal conditions for starting your laser tattoo removal soon.

So the bad news is that you will have to live with your unwanted, brand-new tattoo for a few months. But the good news is that we can remove it in a particularly skin-friendly and effective way as soon as it has healed.
